Bedford, TX – The Lone Star Mustangs women’s full-contact,
tackle football team is proud to announce that they will be
partnering with the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School
District (HEB I.S.D.) through the end of their 2010 Spring season.
The HEB I.S.D. educates over 20,000 students per year in 19
elementary schools, 5 middle schools, and 2 high schools. This
partnership has been made possible through the Adopt-A-School
program. The mission of the Adopt-A-School program “is to create
school and community partnerships that positively impact student
achievement” according to the Adopt-A-School web site. The Lone
Star Mustangs have chosen to adopt the entire school district
instead of one single school.

LynMarie Liberty-Ellington, owner of the Lone Star Mustangs stated “This partnership
means a lot to the Lone Star Mustangs. Our goal is to promote women’s football in the
community and to give back to the community. The Adopt-A-School program allows us to
contribute to the school system and benefit the physical education of area young people.”
All funding provided by the Mustangs to the school district will be placed in a fund in
support of the physical education departments. School administrators and teachers will
have the ability to access these funds to purchase special equipment and fulfill needs that
otherwise would not be funded through the schools via grant requests.
The Lone Star Mustangs are a women’s full-contact, tackle football team representing the
Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). The Lone Star
Mustangs home games are played at Pennington Field in Bedford, TX on Saturdays from

Football Alliance! In 2009, the opponents were limited to the Austin Outlaws and the
H-Town Cyclones. A lot has changed in the Women's Football Alliance as there was good
growth of the league in the off-season. Of course we will have games against the Austin
Outlaws and the new team from Houston, the Power. We have added to our schedule this
year and will play the Oklahoma City Lightning who have returned to play in 2010, the New
Orleans Blaze, and the team from Monterrey, Mexico, the Aguilas Regias. The Lone Star

Dallas, TX, January 5, 2010 – The Lone Star
Mustangs are proud to announce that Ebony
Jones, an All-American defensive end for the Lone
Star Mustangs women’s full contact football team in
the Dallas/Fort Worth area, has won a position in
Bad Boy working for P.Diddy (Sean Combs). Ebony
emerged victorious on the reality television show “I
Want to Work for Diddy 2” aired on VH1 over the
last few months after successfully eliminating some
very worthy opponents. Task after task, Ebony
displayed the same extreme work ethic and desire
to succeed that made her an unstoppable force on
the football field.
Ebony shined in the finale where she gave a
beautifully articulated speech on why she wanted
to work for Diddy. Several of Ebony’s fellow
teammates and coaches from the Mustangs joined
her at a watch party along with the rest of her
“Dallas family” to support her in what could be a life
changing event. By the end of Ebony’s speech, the
power of her words could be felt in the room. A
young woman who once had to live out of her car
had just nailed the speech of a lifetime to secure
an opportunity to work for Diddy. The speech that
Ebony gave is transcribed below, but if you have
the ability to watch and listen to the speech, don’t
miss it. Any speech can be well written, but Ebony’s
delivery was simply amazing.

Ebony: “Mr. Combs, what is the thing that you want most right now. Can you think of one
thing that you want most?
Diddy: “I want a cheeseburger”
Ebony: “‘Cheeseburger’ (laughs). Well, guess what, I can think of one thing and it’s the
one thing that has driven me for the past 30 days — to belong to something that is
bigger than myself. When I look at Bad Boy Entertainment, I see the identity. I see it
from the lowest assistant, the executive assistant, to the men that work right beside you. I
see that identity in them.

I’m an all American, a defensive end. Why is that
important to me? I see Bad Boy like that team. I
know that to play my position, there is a couple of
things I have to have. I’ve got to be insightful. I’ve
got to be able to read what the quarterback is
doing. I’ve got to be able to read what that
offensive line is doing; Is going to be a pass?; Is it
going to be a sweep?; so that I can make my next
move. And why is that important to you? Because
that’s what I am going to bring to Bad Boy. It’s
important that I am able to read people,
understand people, know people and I have done
that here over the past 30 days. And yes, it’s a little
raw but I’m going to bring it whole heartedly.
And this is the one thing that I keep thinking: That
diamond. How do you get that diamond to shine so
bright? How is it cut so precisely? The pressure.
The more pressure that you put on that diamond,
the better it becomes, the more beautiful it
becomes. Yes, I am that raw but I see myself being
that diamond. So I’ll be able to make decisions in
the best interest of Bad Boy because what you guys [are] is more than an image, it is an
identity that is so deeply rooted that it moves me.
When I made this decision to come here, I was very clear about it. I never took no for an
answer and I never looked back. I’ve kept my eyes on the prize and that’s why I’m
standing here today. And I’ll tell you that if you think that this is it, you are sadly
mistaken. I’m so hungry. I’m so hungry that I left Texas, I got on a plane, I went out and
hunt[ed] for my food. That’s why I’m here. And I tell you, I will hunt every day. And the
day that I feel that I’m full, then I’ll leave you alone because I’d be doing you a disservice.
But I’ll tell you, I think I have a tapeworm because I’m never going to stop being hungry. “
According to the Lone Star Mustangs owner, LynMarie Liberty-Ellington, “Ebony is a
great representative of women’s football and the Lone Star Mustangs who have many
women that have done amazing things over the last couple of years. With so many great
women on the Mustangs and in the league, it is great to see someone get the
recognition that Ebony has received”. Women in the sport of full contact football in
general and on the Lone Star Mustangs play for the love of the game just as Ebony did.
They dedicate themselves to the higher cause of teamwork and sacrifice for each other
and the hope of victory. Ebony represented this throughout the show. Congratulations to
Ebony Jones and to all of her teammates, family, and friends who have shared in her
victory.
